New at W+P: Carbon Impact Detection – CO₂ transparency for your property

With our new Carbon Impact Detection (CID) product, we now offer a sound, data-based solution for assessing the carbon footprint and economic efficiency of commercial real estate. CID provides owners, asset managers, and commercial tenants with a clear overview of the ecological and economic key figures of their properties—presented in an understandable, visually appealing, and comparable format.

The requirements for sustainable real estate are constantly increasing – whether due to legal regulations, ESG criteria, or the expectations of tenants and investors. At the same time, uncertainties are growing: What emissions does my building actually cause? What costs and risks are associated with this? How sustainable is my property compared to others?

This is exactly where Carbon Impact Detection comes in. With a structured analysis process, we provide concrete answers to these questions. The combination of CO₂ balance, profitability assessment, and risk analysis creates an objective basis for forward-looking decisions.

In addition to detailed emissions analyses, CID shows, among other things:

  • Emissions costs from the perspective of tenants and landlords,

  • critical points in the property’s life cycle (“stranding points”),

  • and potential for CO₂ reduction and efficiency improvement.

Our interactive dashboards visualize complex relationships at a glance – from energy supply and rental cost developments to specific options for action.

The tool is supported by an interdisciplinary team of real estate analysts, energy consultants, economic experts, and digital and sustainability specialists. Together with you, we develop strategies to make real estate economically viable and sustainable in the long term.

Interview with the management board!

Interview with the management board!

“Thinking about tomorrow today”
An interview with the founding partners of W+P Workspace Consulting about change, trust and the art of using space wisely.

Question: Dr. Wagner, Mr. Schneider – W+P has been one of the leading consultancies for years when it comes to modern working environments and real estate strategies. How did it all begin?

Dr. Roman Wagner: We started out as a partner company in Augsburg – small, but with a clear vision. We were never just concerned with square meters or space efficiency, but with the big picture: How do work, organization and real estate change together? We now have offices in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin and Augsburg. We have been managing W+P on an equal footing for almost 15 years – always with the aim of being a reliable guide for our clients, even in the face of far-reaching market changes.

Question: And what exactly does this guidance look like – what exactly do you achieve for your clients?

Dr. Roman Wagner: We see ourselves as sparring partners, not just consultants. In other words, we don’t provide off-the-shelf solutions, but help our clients to develop their own answers – with the help of sound analyses, tried-and-tested tools and honest reflection. Our aim is to create strategies and offices that are not only efficient and sustainable, but also lively and employee-oriented.

Question: Who particularly benefits from your approach?

Jens Schneider: Our strength is the diversity of perspectives – we work with owners and project developers as well as corporates and tenants. We make targeted use of this area of conflict to look at real estate projects from all angles. We are currently particularly in demand in regulated and knowledge-intensive sectors such as legal advice, finance and pharmaceuticals, but also with companies that are strategically addressing issues such as ESG, new work or space efficiency.

Question: Many of these topics are currently characterized by uncertainty. Which challenges are you yourself most concerned with?

Dr. Roman Wagner: Of course, we are affected by the current upheavals in the market – be it due to geopolitical uncertainties, reduced budgets or the difficult staffing situation in consulting. But we also see that the need for orientation, clarity and courageous decisions grows, especially in times of crisis. Our interdisciplinary team – consisting of architects, real estate and organizational consultants – can provide exactly that.

Question: You have been recognized as a top consultant. What does that mean to you?

Jens Schneider: A lot. Because the award is not just based on self-promotion, but on the assessment of our customers. It confirms to us that our approach works – and that we build trust, even beyond the project in question. We share this recognition with our team, which is the real basis of our success.

Question: And when you look back on your journey so far – what are you particularly proud of?

Dr. Roman Wagner: The trust that our customers have placed in us. Of the closeness that we have been able to maintain despite digitalization and project stress. And of the projects that are not just built, but really lived – that’s the moment when strategy, architecture and culture come together. Every extra mile is worth it.

🌆 Summer nights in Augsburg – and a new phase of life begins!
While Augsburg celebrated the summer nights with lights and music last weekend, we also had a very special reason to be happy (and a little wistful): Our apprentice Hannah Aumüller successfully completed her training – and this not only marks the end of an important stage for her, but also the end of a valuable time together at W+P.

🎓 Training at W+P – a strong foundation for the future
At W+P, we believe in the power of young talent. This year, we are once again proud of our trainees, who are following their path with commitment, curiosity and drive:
👉 Hannah Aumüller is now starting her career at a specialist property management company – we wish her all the best for the future!
👉 Philipp Beßlich has also successfully completed his training and is now starting out on his own – a brave and impressive step!
👉 Yana Havrashenko joined our team in September as a trainee office management assistant – with a lot of enthusiasm and a breath of fresh air.
👉 She was joined by Lena Hohmann, who is doing her apprenticeship in real estate management with us – and impresses with her curiosity and determination.
👉 Julia Wiegering, our first trainee, impressively demonstrates how far you can get at W+P: Today, as Office Manager and Training Officer, she is indispensable and a real centerpiece of our team.

📚 Dual study & degree courses at W+P
Students are also part of this development:
👉 Melina Valeria Schleidowez is completing a dual study course in B.A. Marketing Management at the IU International University at W+P, successfully combining theory and practice – with valuable insights and real creative opportunities.
👉 Isabella Winheim is studying International Real Estate Management at the TH Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences and is putting her knowledge from university directly into practice at W+P – an example of modern, practical learning at eye level.

🌟 A career starts with opportunities – and a strong education.
We would like to thank Hannah Aumüller and Philipp Beßlich for their commitment, their energy and the time they spent together. At the same time, we look forward to the future with all the committed young talents who fill W+P with life. 💚

Table soccer tournament in the JOKA showroom

Table soccer tournament in the JOKA showroom

W+P is the winner of hearts at the foosball tournament in the JOKA showroom
This is how our foosball adventure went yesterday at the tournament in Frankfurt with our legendary foosball duo Kai Vogel & Emilio Lorenzato (aka “Kickerator 3000”) at the foosball tournament in the stylish JOKA showroom in Frankfurt. Co-organizers included Interface (Jonas-Moritz Steinlehner & Carsten Tesmer), quint-it Raumsysteme
, USM Modular Furniture, Mapei, GRAU, CHAT BOARD®A/S and procedes i-d interior design gmbh – thanks for the great organization and the cool setup!
Our boys fought their way through the preliminary round and qualified for the semi-finals in 3rd place. Unfortunately, they lost to the “Baller high roller & shot caller” team – but they went straight on to the match for 3rd place!
And even if it wasn’t quite enough for the podium in the end, we won the most important title: Best Supporter Team of the tournament! 💪🎉
A real highlight: the presentation by table football world champion Chris Marks, who showed off a few crazy tricks at the end. 🤯🔥
