In light of changing requirements for office space and the decision to consolidate space, the goal was defined as creating a modern work environment that combines efficient work, interdisciplinary collaboration, and flexible usage options. In addition to optimizing the space, the focus was on creating attractive common areas, fostering interaction and a sense of belonging, and actively involving employees in the change process. A contemporary design concept and user-centered planning resulted in a future-proof work environment that meets the needs of employees as well as the requirements of the organization.

After more than three years of project implementation, two renovation phases, and a pilot area, employees have responded overwhelmingly positively to the new workspaces. In particular, the barista bar—the “heart” of the new office environment—has become a popular gathering place and is frequently used by colleagues during lunch breaks. It is connected to the reception area by an open, inviting staircase designed to encourage interaction and informal seating, giving the existing building a distinctly modern character.
The new conference floor, featuring an exceptional design with highlights such as a fireplace and a grand piano, provides an ideal setting for special occasions and events. The project objectives have been fully achieved: the original building is virtually unrecognizable, Swedish design principles are reflected throughout all areas, and employee satisfaction has increased thanks to an inspiring and engaging working environment.
