BAYERISCHE HAUSBAU

As part of the strategic decision to close two previously separate locations in Unterhaching and Munich Denning, the aim was to bring all employees together at a new location in Pullach. The plan was to relocate to two neighboring buildings of identical construction, whose spaces were to be designed in the same quality. In addition to the introduction of a modern desk-sharing model with state-of-the-art IT equipment, the focus was on social aspects, the active involvement of employees and training opportunities in order to redesign the office as a place of experience and encounter.

The move took place in two consecutive phases: first in Building 5, followed by Building 7. Both U-shaped buildings each have a spacious inner courtyard with a terrace. The central part of the building is designed as a communicative core and comprises various conference rooms, a town hall with a grandstand, meet & eat areas and a café lounge, which promote interdepartmental exchange.

The two wings of the building branching off from this were defined as focus zones. Here, open work bays alternate with differently equipped retreat areas in order to support employees' working methods based on their activities. The introduced desk-sharing concept increases flexibility and space efficiency and helps to establish the new working environment as a lively meeting place.
